Community Carol Service

Thursday: 19th December at 7.30pm. Yateley Manor Boys Choir, Mince Pies and Mulled Wine. Collection for Syrian Child Refugees. All welcome.
STARS OF REMEMBRANCE FOR THE CAROL SERVICE (FOR THE ALTAR CHRISTMAS TREES) ARE AVAILABLE AFTER ALL MASSES THIS SUNDAY.
Holy Family Church Catholic Parish Farnham, Hale, Weybourne & Badshot Lea
Children’s Tableau – 5.30pm at Holy Family this year. Children from both parishes are welcome. Two children will be chosen to be Mary and Joseph who will lead the procession (costumes provided). If interested, please place your child’s name and contact details on the form at the back of the church. A draw will take place week commencing Sunday 15th December. All children are invited to dress up as Shepherds, Angels, Kings etc. Liturgy and activity downstairs as normal. Holy Angels Catholic Parish for Ash, Nr. Aldershot, Ash Vale, Tongham & Normandy
Youth: The youth for Holy Angels and Holy Family raised £85.97 after offering minced pies and mulled wine at Holy Angels last Saturday – all of us would like to say a BIG THANK YOU. Also this weekend and the following weekend, our youth at both churches will be asking parishioners to ‘guess the number of sweets in the jar’ The number of sweets for each Church will be different.
Baptisms
Next Baptism Course: TBC. Please make an appointment to see the Priest/Deacon to discuss what you need to do to prepare for your child’s baptism. If you are new to the Parish, please complete pink Registration Form and make yourself known to Father David or Deacon John after Mass.

Countdown to Christmas – Week 3
Third Sunday of Advent
This week as we light the 3rd Advent Candle we recall how the news of the coming birth of Jesus continued to spread, this time not by Angels but by Mary telling her cousin Elizabeth and the Wise-men using their minds to investigate the signs foretelling the birth of Jesus. The wise men had many days of travel in front of them asking where and how far to the place where Jesus would be born. On the 3rd Sunday of advent we pray for our relations preparing for Christmas and also those who like the wise men may be away from family and friends at Christmas.

Many of you will be aware of the tragic traffic accident in Alma Lane last Sunday. Please remember in your prayers the man who died and also those who very narrowly escaped serious injury and all who have been affected by this tragedy.
