The Advent wreath: Each Sunday we will light an Advent Candle – each candle has a special significance. The general theme is “Passing on the message of the coming of Christ”.
A. The 1st candle represents the Angel Gabriel passing the message to Mary.
B. The 2nd candle represents the Angel passing the message to Joseph.
C. The 3rd Candle represents Mary passing on the news to her family through her cousin Elizabeth.
D. The 4th candle represents the Angels passing on the news to the local community through the shepherds.
Who will we pass the message of the coming birth of Christ to???
During the four Sundays of Advent we use purple vestments. In the time of Jesus in theRoman Empirepurple robes and since then in the Church purple has been a reminder that we are in a time of judging ourselves and if necessary putting things right so that we may worthily celebrate the great feasts of Christmas and Easter.

The last couple of weeks have been a very difficult time for our Parish Office. Our Computer Service Provider has made changes to our email which has made it impossible for us to receive emails on the Parish email address. Many thanks for your patience and to those who have supported Rita (our Parish Secretary) with advice and help at this time.
